Hi, my daughter is a petrol head and wants to go see some supercars. Are there any shows this spring/summer up North anywhere to take her, with reasonable entry fees etc. I've tried Googling but I am rubbish.

Appreciate any suggestions.

Might want to find a Sunday breakfast meet in your area rather than a full blown show as entry will be free and you'll probably find your daughter will get bored quite quickly.

Quite a few listed here: https://www.supercarowner.co.uk/upcoming-events/

Facebook and instagram are quite good for finding local car clubs with meets.

Supercar Fest the runway, end of May I shall be attending and running again as got free tickets. :)

All events on that link seem to require joining with a qualifying car. I don't think my Mondeo will cut it, just want to be a spectator.

Depends where you are.

There used to be a couple monthly breakfast meets in the Ribble Valley (Mitton Hall/Shackletons) but I think COVID and other reaons has stopped them for now. Can't find any planned.

For a bigger event try Sports Cars In The Park: https://www.sportscarsinthepark.co.uk/

You get loads of clubs turning up, alsorts of cars and there's 3 events a year usually. That's more yorkshire way usually, venue sometimes changes but next one is Newby Hall. As a spectator you just pay to access the hall.

This :) Good fun day out. Also you get to browse the cars parked up and see/hear them being used as intended.

Sadly I'll be missing it this year as a friends wedding on the Saturday and not sure I'll be in the mood to drive the 360 on the Sunday :D

Will also be at Supercarfest and doing runs. So if you can make it let me know and ill reserve a run for her.

Depends where you are based. In Yorkshire there is the JPC smiles for miles event at Croft this year.

Great selction of supercars there which you can get close up to, vast majority of owners let people/kids sit in their cars. Normally a parade with lots of revving engines as well.

This year they are at Croft circuit and people can pay to go out as a passenger in one of the supercars for one lap for a reasonable £20 (its all for charity) or even three laps with Tiff Needell for three laps for £169 (a bit steep but would imagine hes not cheap!)

Super car owners can take their cars for free plus get 7 laps round croft for free as well.

Most of the major supercar manufacturers have stands and bring a selection of supercars as well although they dont like kids clawing all over the newest supercar.

Great day out, one of my favourites

Pete, I listed that one first! Already got my exhibitors ticket, should be a great show. Was going to look out for you this year and introduce myself but can't now if you aren't going to be there :(

Ahh my bad. We'll catch up at one of them :D

I assume you know who George Cox is if you're into your classics so I'll try and make one of his events.

Yeah I know George quite well having met him at a local gathering at Middlesborough Football club after I got my first classic car. . Will be going to a lot of classic shows this season where he will be there. Probably in the new BRG MGB roadster this year so look out for it.

Ill be at the classic show at Ushaw college and the Teesside Airport airshow one for definite plus lots of others I have booked.
