Hi all! I RMA'd my Asus TUF RTX 3070 Ti and have been offered a replacement but they don't have another Asus in stock. They are instead offering a choice between:

MSI NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti 8GB VENTUS 3X OC

Or

Gigabyte NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti 8GB GAMING OC.

Which one would you suggest I go for?

Thanks,

Hyphen

The Gigabyte is clocked slightly higher although they all boost higher than their stated clocks anyway, plus it has a year extra warranty, 4 years vs 3 years on the MSI. Check some reviews and see which one is quietest or performs best.

For further warranty issues, GB has a UK rma centre but you have to cover return postage.

Think MSI rma centre is Poland?, so you have to deal with sending it to Europe which is a bigger hassle.

Appreciate all the replies so far guys! Thanks for letting me know that Gigabyte has a UK rma centre and a longer warranty, that's always nice for peace of mind. Still willing to hear from anyone else that wants to put their two cents in.

Ask them if they have a TUF 3080 in stock and if you can upgrade at the same time?

Likely to say no but if you don’t ask…

The gigabyte also has a slightly better cooler iirc, not quite as good as the TUF but close.

I'm using a 600w psu so a 3080 might be pushing it... I will be undervolting the card though... like you said though, might be worth a shot!

*update* They came back to me and offered an EVGA FTW3 3070 Ti which I accepted since I've heard good things about EVGA's customer service. Thanks for all the helpful advice everyone!

Pretty much top dog brand for nVidia cards, nice one!
