Problem is you can apply the same rationale to anything that uses energy. People in the GPU section just be angry that non gamers might be buying up their cards![]()
That's very simplistic, and I don't beleive correct. We have our work and play time, both requiring some form of energy. GPU mining is something that can run along side our normal life 24/7, using up many lifetimes of energy. The problem isn't GPU mining itslelf, but the, perhaps ignorant, greed for more than our share of energy.
If the world was as simple as the picture you paint, we could simply hand out GPUs to replace food banks, the homeless, etc.
