No wonder all their plans were leaking out to Western Intelligence, he's openly berating his spy chief in this meeting... there have gotta be a fair few insiders who think he's nuts and want to undermine him:

Incidentally, the SVR generally hasn't been impressed with other Putin actions... the Salisbury poisonings for example where UK police/intelligence managed to find the perpetrators, name them and publish their photos around the world was carried out by GRU (military intelligence) and the SVR were not too happy about it/considered it a bit embarrasing.

Lower down the food chain there was some footage of a Russian soldier being berated by a Ukrainian woman in the street posted on twitter and his response was basically along the lines of "just following orders".

Don't think anything was leaked, in this age you can't hide a massing of such force that he has gathered on a border of a nation where you annexed land, I think the West probably snooped some info from loose lips via cell phones though to get the intel to know orders had been given, we were literally tracking the invasion force via google maps traffic data when it kicked off lol

Pure terror. They should be scared. People dissappear all the time.

What is the logic behind perhaps not cutting them off from SWIFT? Surely everyone should be in agreement that it should be cut off without delay.

Blowback. Not an expert but as I understand if Russia is cut off from swift then gas imports become impossible and you cannot replace such huge volume of energy imports in a day, so cutting Russia from SWIFT is not feasible for countries like Germany.

Another bridge, another load of Russian armour crossing it... sad that various parts of Ukraine weren't prepared for this despite the advanced warnings from the West:

This is where light guns and a FOO could come into play nicely... even an infantry MFC tbh.. disable or destroy the vehicle(s) at the front and back of the column and you cause some serious issues for the rest. I mean it's literally a textbook "vulnerable point".

Whoever was saying that Russia would win in a conventional war with the West while citing numbers of troops needs ot not just take into account superior Western equipment/air power etc.. but also apparently tactical abilities too.

Obviously, you can't hide such a large force, being able to see the Russian forces build up has little to do with getting details info on their plans though.

What would happen if Putin put a hole in the protective casing around Chernobyl? I will assume radiation dust and whatever would be disturbed and released but what's the effect on surrounding areas/region/countries. Why fight for it? Is it a way to use Nuclear without using Nuclear if you get what I mean.

That whole thing with the spy chief might have been staged to make Putin look unhinged to western leaders, there all ex KGB as well, they dream up stuff like this all the time and it worked for well Trump.

Apparently, a Turkish ship has been bombed in the black sea.

Russia invading Ukraine is not really feasible for Ukraine, Germany should shoulder some of the cost and do the right thing and help Ukraine if they're really behind them

Bleedings Germans and their bleeding gas... cheers for clarifying though folks. Big pity that it will come down to that though. Bad enough the sanctions themselves just seem like too little, not being able to do something as simple as this just makes it seem all the more helpless.
