They are going to have to do a whole lot of that, and I don't know they have the missiles, against a range of targets, if they want to force some kind of cease of this conflict.

they wont do much, these strikes are more for the "honor of arms" as we say in Greece, the russkies are hitting the capital from day one. I think Ukraine is done, the west left Ukraine alone and alone against the bear is perhaps a hopeless situation.

Dunno what they are doing but some serious tanker relays across Europe focussed on Romania - bringing something in I guess or keeping ISR stuff in the sky.

Sounds of distant fighting getting more intense and closer on Kyiv live stream.

So nothing as normal...

So biden has done nothing.....

it was fairly clear they did all they could so far without having gas shut off to Europe. Swift off the table for now, probably for that reason, as Europe depends on the gas.
had the impression they wanted them removed from it but Europe objected.
It doesn’t look good for a country’s government when their elderly citizens all freeze during the winter and economy seizes up.
Can’t stress enough how cold Europe can get in the winter!

uk by contrast has sanctioned 3 banks and 5 fellas so far?

To be fair it's nearly March.

Lol it has got nothing to do with the people. It is purely financial. If Russia switched off gas to Germany tomorrow it will be chaos financially but the people would find a way.

Global sanctions in finance are unilateral, so any sanctions elsewhere will apply here too

Boss move from Poland.

Slavs together stronk.

If those videos from the outskirts of Kharkiv are what they claim to be those tanks got absolutely obliterated - goodness knows what hit them short of like half ton ballistic missiles - even their internal ammo detonating wouldn't do that.

Germany only needs 20% of russian gas.
"elderly citizens all freeze during the winter" ever heard of electric?

Germany as normal just thinking about themselves....

Yes I understand that. It still doesn't provide a valid rationale for the invasion of Ukraine. Just remind me of the last time the US threatened to nuke Russia? Are you actually pretending this is a serious and ongoing threat? Even if it was real, how does invading Ukraine solve that problem?
Based on the previous things you mentioned in your post that i didn't bother to quote, the fact that you think all those nukes the US has in Europe (in your image) are not a concern to the Russians, or the airbases that probably have anti ballistic missles and the fact that you need to ask how invading Ukraine solves their problem I don't think you actually understand the importance of response time to missle threats.

Also you think the US were peaceful with the Russians even before all this.:cry::cry:. The threat has always been implied by the simple fact that the US and Russia have always been at odds. Just because you dug your head in the sand and acted like everything has been all jolly and peaceful doesn't make it true.

Nonsense. Russia had a defence pact during the Cold War (the Warsaw Pact, which you are possibly too young to remember) and the West did not invade any country within that pact.
Considering that my post specifically referred to south america, how many of the countries in the warsaw pact are based in South America?

How do you think they generate that electricity?!
Regardless of that, most homes out there use gas for heating.

also, not having enough power means industries slow/stop which hurts markets which means job losses etc. So waving it off like economic impact would be barely an inconvenience for them is silly.

The Germans are paying coal power stations literally hundreds of millions to close early. I think they had an auction earlier this year for closure subsidies, same goes for lignite plants they are paying them to close early although there are more social considerations because they employ 10,000's in the lignite industry.

They have been making political decisions that have hamstrung them strategically.
