I don’t think we are at that stage but if NATO were to escalate that is probably what would come next.

I'm surprised to see the number of missiles being quoted. It was turning into a proxy war anyway but a bit more discretion would have helped Ukraine do this on the quiet.

I think it's deliberately designed to boost morale in Ukraine so they know the world is helping in some way, and hurt Russian morale as they know it will be a difficult war of attrition.
