Quick question, does the trade sanctions mean the Russian public won’t be able to buy their modern day goodies like iPhones, laptops, TV’s, designer clothes etc. And even if not, surely the plummeting rouble would make them unaffordable to the average citizen.

In short yes. It's more complex than that but the general impact is that it will hit the average Russian hard. Those that are not using the sanction banks can carry on as usual but businesses they may rely on or use are probably affected.

In Russia financial corruption is wide spread. For this reason the mobile phone operators cannot process money, instead they must have a partnering bank for things like mobile application payments etc. I used todo some payment stuff with Megafon, MTS and Beeline. External calls are settled through roaming settlement companies - this means that payments externally through these may also be blocked causing internally roaming people (ie wester journalists etc) to find that the local operator can't charge external operators for their calls). Satellite phones wouldn't be impacted.

Before you even attempt to answer, and notwithstanding the huge technological barriers to banning cryptocurrency, you should take a minute to digest the fact that there's currently an estimated $1.8 trillion in the market and it's not all Russian money.

If you want to ban crypto in order to hit the Russians then you might as well ban dollars as a lot of Russians hold them, too.

Given the more experience troops from the NW and S, I would expect this to intensify. However even experienced troops' armour needs fuel and ammo. Without air superiority airdrops aren't guaranteed and neither are reinforcements thus progress may slow as they progress.
