Points 3 & 4 aren't as clear cut as that as a nuclear explosion wouldn't stop it's destruction at Ukraine's border. So I guess it would depend whether any collateral damage extended into neighbouring countries, some of which being NATO members.
You're completely right, I just didn't mention it as the question I was replying to was just about if an attack would be detected and a counter attack launched.

Lets hope people are wrong on the nukes:

- he'll never invade Ukraine
- he'll not shoot at Ukrainians
- he'll not use artillery against Ukraine

etc.

Yet here we are....

Fighting with 1 arm behind his back won't be easy.

I'm sure in places like Syria where indiscriminate shelling/bombing is more palatable to him things are much easier.
It is common with Dictators, the worst type of idiots, those around them in the know are too scared to tell the truth. Putin is finding this out now - he wanted to stamp his military authority across Europe, he is certainly showing people what Russia has, not much...

They've come up against manpads and infantry antitank equipment in Syria and Afghanistan, a lot of the issue though is in Syria and Afghanistan they used indiscriminate artillery to destroy mostly everything, this has been very different compared to usual doctrine, their ISR has failed/been nonexistant and their precision strikes have been largerly ineffective so they're just trying to sledgehammer their way into places that are very well defended

Any nerds can explain what this means ????

They've got root access to a unix server and are free to download their own scripts from the interwebz. No proof of what server they're in.

Yes the nuke talk is distracting. This kind of information is not publicly available so everyone is just guessing. It’s irrelevant to the thread.
Won't be be irrelevant if they launch :D not saying they will but the need be too section of every small subsection isn't necessary.
Must be a generational thing, but then again i think binary

I think they've managed to set up a couple of cron jobs to basically drop all the ports so effectively taking their web site(s) offline.

It looks like they are dropping comms from the inside out, so basically the banks servers will go offline

First part looks like they are copying data

rofl, that's pretty decent from the EU.

RT and Sputnik banned from broadcast in the whole EU,
EU sending weapons and lethal aid to Ukraine
EU airspace completely closed to any Russian aircraft, be it airliner or private jet.

Who Said he wouldn’t invade? I thought it was widely accepted and acknowledged he would invade? (Obvious to everyone) And invading without shooting guns and using artillery is pretty difficult…. Everyone has said NATO won’t send troop (they haven’t) everyone has said Putin won’t invade a NATO member (he hasn’t) everyone is saying he won’t fire nukes (he won’t)

Specifically regarding Ukraine and nukes, I see it as possible. If the goal was to secure gas for Russia primarily, then knocking out access to that supply by nuking might be on the table for them. I would hope not, but let's be real, this entire thing is turning into what appears to be desperation.

I would expect massive artillery usage first however.
