Evening all. Finally picked up a new to me Mazda 6. I had an Xtrons Head Unit in my previous car so I want to intall it in the Mazda. Been reading up and since my car comes with a Bose system it seems I need to spend more (surprise) to get the Xtrons to work properly.

I've seen 2 kits available. The first kit doesnt have the Bose adapter. The 2nd kit does have the adapter but is £50 more. Im sure I've read somewhere there is a way to get the Xtrons to work with the Bise without paying the extra £50. I know I need a Connects 2 kit. Any help is really appreciated

panels looks as though you can get them for 15+delivery https://xtrons.co.uk/mazda-atenza-6-fascia-panel-08-011 ? paying an additional ~130 for a wiring harness looks looks steep
I've previously spliced alpine HU connectors into a BMW (pre-idrive)system -if- , you have the wiring diagram and some mini chocolate blocks,
so you cut existing radio connector a few inches short, and connect into xtrons leads - but the cold weather is not too compliant with working on car.

Seen that. Couldn't be doing with splicing wires. I dont have the time really.

Actually considering buying this

I'd recommend taking to time to do the splicing. I've got a mk3 MX5 which had the Bose cd changer unit. It took a bit of research, but all I needed was a £30 double din fascia and a £15 wiring harness and I was able to fit an android double din head unit and use the existing Bose amps and speakers.

I have an eonon, one of the new ones Q63Pro in my mazda 3 mps.

It's great

I have Android auto set to start even it boots

Just seems to work.

I also have Torque set up to work on it for engine diagnostics and other things.

Their new 9" range is a cut above the tosh they used to make.
