When I was in college there was 2 Ukrainians, one was called vasyas other was called Arty, and they were tin ribs but they had balls of steel, one of them battered me for some unknown reason.

You give us and Truss far too much credit!

I don't even expect Putin would even notice that single line of policy change, on top of all the weapons everyone are sending, the sanctions, SWIFT, Germany's 180 degree turn on increasing military spend and sending weapons.
 
Russian stock market closed at least today. Can't see trading opening anytime soon tbh. No idea about pensions in Russia but if there's a lot of personal pension exposure to local markets, they'll be getting wrecked on the actions of their leader.
 
I hope it's clear to Russia if putin is outed and Russia withdraw the sanctions would be immediately removed.

If there's ever a time for a hero/heroine in Russia to appear. Now would be nice.


I assume sanctions would be removed fairly swiftly if this happened

The Ukrainians are a complex people, and their motivations can be strangely opaque.
 
I was going to ask what our resident prepper, Amigafan2003 thought about this but he's been permabanned aswell?! We should have a directory of Mod victims and reasons for their assassination.

Ukraine still holds (or at least held) half of both breakaway regions. I’m not sure they can realistically cede the halves they have fought and bled for all these years without causing massive internal uproar.
Afraid these talks are just a pretence for the breather Russia needs to sort its logistics out getting fuel and weapons down to Kyiv for an all or nothing attempt to take it.
At the same time the defenders will be getting fresh weapons in which will be in the city. I wouldn’t fancy being in an armoured vehicle trying to push to the centre. Nor on foot. Defenders in Kharkiv showed what happens when you try that.

I can’t see how Russia can possibly ‘win’ this without stupid losses and flattening the city. Which is totally at odds of their supposed objectives. Grozny took them years to pacify and the average Russian couldn’t care less about Chechnya. They won’t be happy about Kyiv being recked…

Putin is looking so weak right now.

Just a secluded paranoid old little bald man, with outdated views, who has seemingly gaslit himself into believing his own propaganda and rubbish.

Compare that to Zelensky who is comparatively young, honourable, and out there in combat gear fighting with his fellow countrymen to repel the Russian attack..

It feels like Putin's only support in the whole world is maybe what, half of Russia?
