Indeed, all this time we in the NATO alliance have been petrified by the mighty russian military, take away thier nukes and they wouldn't last any longer than Saddam's army against NATO, hell even Europe without US support would slap them silly.

He's shown the west how pathetic his army is and made western nations spend even more money on defense as a result, talk about kicking yourself in the balls!

I think most of their actual power comes from perception of power, it all looks good on paper but that's where it ends..

I would love to see a decent leader in Russia and a much better relationship with the west, this stand-offish Russia we've had for so long is just making life hard for everyone.

US saying if cluster bombs and attacks have occurred on civilians then it’s a war crime. Also said it needs to be proved. I’m sure that clear evidence is coming.

I was saying the same earlier. I used to have some mild admiration for Russia, but this bad press will stick with me for decades. They had so much potential as a country that's all just gone up in smoke.

I was genuinely expecting them to just swoop in and control everything pretty much within days.

The tactic instead seems to be "Send a few idiots, a couple of tanks and some scooby do looking soviet era trucks up that highway. Also, get some light armour to drive aimlessly around. Get fuel and supplies from local Ukraine gas stations "

Its just weird.
