Hi All,

I’m moving house soon and until Sky come to set up the broadband, I was thinking of getting a USB dongle to plug into my router (tp-link vr2100).

Can anyone advise what it is I actually need to buy? Most of the dongles appear to be WiFi routers themselves, but I guess I don’t want that. But would they work still? Any advice on which to get?

plus, the phone reception isn’t great so any ideas on how to boost 4g would be great too.

cheers,

Mike

The portable Wifi dongles work OK, have used them when away from home and no other network was available, it was an O2 pebble from memory.

Buy the TP-LINK AC1200 4G+ or similar, then get a SIM for 1 month from VOXI/Smarty or similar.
Return the router when you're done with it, get it from the Rainforest, I think this approach would be most simple aswell.
