Not particularly at the time, they were waiting at a station the same station was running trains for a while.

Because these people are currently going on holiday to Poland and not fleeing conflict

It makes perfect sense to leave them in Ukraine why they process their visa application rather than bringing them into the country and doing it. What a terrible excuse.

They're not necessarily being left in Ukraine though, it simply takes more time to process them at the border, it's not an "excuse" it's just reality.

If you go to cross the Mexican border into the US do you reckon someone fleeing Venezuela will be let in as quickly as an American or Canadian? Are you so clueless you're unaware of basic things like international borders...

They're being given priority because (a) the war they're fleeing from is right next door, and (b) they are white people (I covered this earlier, remember?)

We did, and that was a highly unusual operation which took 15 days, even with all the money and power of the US military plus multiple allied nations. Poland does not have those kinds of resources available to their staff on the Ukrainian border.

Governments can and do charter planes. Considering all the flights to russia have been cancelled yes there are actually planes currently on standby.

Yes, they are on standby for commercial flights. Not asylum seeker rescue missions. In any case, they are not government planes, they are private sector planes (so the government can't just snap its fingers and tell them where to go) and besides, this is Poland we're talking about, not the UK.

Unless you're suggesting that the British government should tell all commercial airlines to take all their spare planes to Poland and pick up the Ukrainian refugees?

Someone was talking about shooting people who had surrendered, here is another example of where the Geneva convention doesn't necessarily apply, using ambulances to transport munitions might give cause to Ukrainians to simply target ambulances now:

Update seems that a good part of those 16000 foreign fighters are still on their way to Ukraine but they are coming.
It does seems like more and more volunteers are trickling in to help Ukraine.

Bearing in mind soldiers were fighting in Crimea in 2014 who weren't officially Russian soldiers, but were clearly Russian soldiers.

Who knows with Putin as he's said many a time that he'll decide where the red line is. However, it's extremely unlikely, NATO involvement means them ordering boots on the ground.

'Driven'? Nobody is driving Putin to do anything. He started this on his own initiative for his own reasons. There was no pressure from anyone else.

So what if it does?
At this stage he is the aggressor in a foreign country.
He has no political clout left internationally, except it would appear with India (who frankly we should have GCHQ knock out their VOIP abilities for a few days and what them change their tune), he can't make up anything more than he has already. What does he say? Oh look the naughty western nazis are sending troops? That was his whole justification in the first place.

Lets not have yet another 24 hours of talking about nukes.

He has already done something stupid he invaded Ukraine and he wont use nukes in Ukraine because if that was his goal then he would have used them already.
