I agree with that, it just seems a little cruel targeting individuals, but I suppose we need to send the message to all Russians. I just hope Russians are searching for more information on the internet wondering why all the world is against them, their media is a joke and unfortunately many seem to believe the Putins BS.

Good point, it's hard to argue with that.

The only good thing that can come from this now if someone can take Putin out or the Russian population rises up and remove all those corrupt rats. I expected there would be 100,000s protesting by now, I know its risky to protest in Russia but their economy is being destroyed and very few are willing to risk protesting.

I'm trying not to go down that rabbit hole but on the surface there's a lot to suggest they had some agreement in place. I can't help but wonder why he tried very hard to stop an arms and aid transfer going over there whilst endlessly claiming they were corrupt.

Sad, but necessary.

Putin has weaponised sport for years. Hosting the Olympics, football tournaments all to put over the image that Russia is a credible actor.

He even blatantly waited till the winter Olympics were over before starting his war. Sorry Russian sportspeople (those that aren't doping) but take it up with your government.

Remember also the talk about gay people attending the Euros in Russia and worrying about their safety before the tournament? Sport is just another smokescreen for Putin to use to say "nothing to see here".

Its also another bad news story that requires explanation by the state. Sure they will spin it every which way, but these things will add up.

I don't agree with targetting the Russian people, we keep saying we hope the Russian people over throw or assassinate Putin but why should they when he tells them the West hate Russians and we go and prove it.

What have the Russian people done to us that we should hate them ?
It's not like they chose to invade Ukraine, the same way a whole load of us didn't want to invade Iraq but ***** at the top decided to anyway.

No it isn't, their nation is a paria, whatever they say they have had national funding somehow and the nation gets prestige from their success.

The nation of Russia must be disassociated from being part of civilised society.

To add, at the time I could not believe they were invading another country, I was shocked. The only justification would be to stop genocide.
