Politics aside, the real toll is on the people who are completely innocent and have their lives changed simply by existing going about their day minding their own business. Some photos of parents mourning, and the last photo just hits hard: https://www.reddit.com/r/interestin...rents_mourning_their_18_months_old_child_who/

Tough to see and whoever said the Russian public need to see this was spot on. This is being done in their name if they like it or not.

A video that was tough to watch was of the Ukrainian families getting on a train out of Kyiv, in particular the fathers saying goodbye to their children, not knowing if they'll ever see them again. One child gave his dad his prized toy ambulance, for in case he gets hurt.

Damn... even the (obviously lagged in part) confirmed reporting is super bad for Russia.

Maybe there is another mechanism for example that apparent FSB leak to Bellingcat also says Putin can't unilaterally order a launch. It does suggest a tactical nuke launched locally but in terms of ending the world/MAD stuff that can't be solo. Also is skeptical about how well-maintained those nukes have been!

source; trust me bro agreeing with source; trust me bro.

See the doc below, skip to the last paragraph if you don't want to read the whole thing

The FSB can’t fire first is a load of baloney. The FS. Is trying to suggest that anything can waltz into Russia to trigger war. Esseny they re attempting to use any means to goad the west into “we had to attack them as they attacked us first.

LOL, I mean they've basically deployed most of their deployable army in Ukraine already (without mobilising reserves, which it isn't clear how many they could deploy/support) and a double-digit % of it has been killed or wounded, another big chunk has been cut off and running out of supplies... so much again for the "they're only sending their B team" nonsense, they're desperate AF now.

The apparent FSB leak mentions the Chechen leader is furious, lots of his boys have been wiped out, control of that region is reliant on a strongman Chechen leader and he's now perhaps weakened, other Chechens fighting on Ukraine's side.

Other regions of Russia might want to breakaway too if the Russian army is massively defeated here:

It's not clear what you're trying to say here?

No, he's talking about all of it; supplying weapons, applying sanctions, leading the call for other nations to do the same:

The UK hasn't forgotten the assassinations orders on UK soil, the radioactive isotope in London, the nerve agent in Salisbury... I think the supply of weapons to Ukraine and the training of troops has more than paid Russia back for those incidents.

Indeed.
They're resorting to petty threats as they're begging to realise they have no end game and their position weakens every day. They won't be able to take Kyiv and the sanctions are crippling their economy, he still has chemical and biological weapons that he could use. He might test the West by using them and then try to compromise for the land he holds now. He's backed into a corner I'm sure he will lash out somehow.

Delightful if true, hopefully it's not overly optimistic.

As awesome of a troll that it is, the video is fake - as in the HD version doesn't show the ghost hand.

Damn, had not seen that, fakery coming from both sides was clear from previous videos, but just gotta keep a slanted eye now on these things I guess.

Convoy is still moving at a snails pace.
This is a good read :D (maybe not be true)

Trent Telenko on Twitter: "Lady's and Gentlemen, boys & girls, it is time saddle up for another installment of the "Mud and Truck Maintenance in Ukraine" feed. And this one will be a doozy, because we are talking about Russian truck refueling in the 64km column north of Kyiv. 1/ https://t.co/akTbOuo4tI" / Twitter

The Russians have formed the world's longest POW camp.
And the Ukrainians don't have to feed it.

There simply hasn't been anything like this in warfare since the Anglo-American Anzio beachhead in 1944.

Zelenskyy's video from today trolling Putin:

Context (quote from reddit because nothing else is necessary lol):
Whatever Putin is hiding needs to come out. There’s a lot of speculation about his health but whatever is actually causing him to isolate/distance from people needs to be made known.

If we haven't forgotten about it why is London the capital of Russian money laundering and why are the Tories taking millions from Russian oligarchs? This all seems a little bit convenient. Yes we've supplied the Ukrainians with light anti tank weapons in the last month but what about before that? All we've done is non lethal supplies and training. We clearly didn't feel like paying the Russians back between 2014 and 2021 where I can't find anything that says we gave/sold them a single bullet.

He is petrified of catching covid apparently, that's why he sat miles away from his cabinet on that stupidly long table

Because everything carries consequence and NATO believing there wasn't any is just naïve.

The consequence was a 3 Nations happy and prosperous and improving constantly. Russia lost the cold war that is the only consequence. They tried their system and it failed end of story.
