Average house price increased by £8,000 last year.
How many sky subscriptions and avocados would someone on the average graduate salary of £24,000 need to skimp on to keep up with that increase?
I agree that's not actually what happened in Ukraine and don't support what did happen, but hypothetically if there was a genuine feeling among the population that they wanted independence, then it would have deserved some consideration rather than being thrown aside because technically there was no legal mechanism for an area to become independent and referendums on the topic aren't legally recognised.True, but we have to remember that's not what actually happened in the case of Ukraine. There was no genuine independence movement. Instead there was an illegal referendum orchestrated by Russia in 2014, an illegal invasion by Russia in 2014, and another illegal invasion this year.
Yes, but Ghandi genuinely spoke for the majority of the people, and the British were forced to recognise that fact. Again, this is not what happened in Ukraine.
I absolutely support the principle of independence. I want freedom and independence for Scotland, and I want the UK to end its occupation of Northern Ireland so it can be absorbed into the ROI. If Wales wanted to become independent, I'd support that too.
However, I don't support a foreign government running a fake independence movement in part of another country, pretending it was legitimate, then invading because the other country refused to condone these illegal shenanigans.
I wonder how Putin will take it if Poland offers their Military Aircraft, didn't he see it as an act of war?

How much emotional intelligence are you bringing to that assessment of yours over what constitutes a "reasonable job"?
Reasonable in terms of the value your work brings to UK society, or reasonable in the wage it brings home?
Either way, I can't get your argument to stack up.
Care workers struggling to keep a roof over their head. Should they be paid more? Or look for a different job that pays better?
I wonder how Putin will take it if Poland offers their Military Aircraft, didn't he see it as an act of war?

It's a simple arms deal at the end of the day.

You're disputing the facts and figures in the article I linked to, because those facts and figures are stated on the Independent website? How widely do you bring that approach to your research and thinking? Which media outlet websites don't you dismiss out of hand?Oh, an Independent article and an appeal to my "emotional intelligence". I'm literally living on my own, so a care worker should be perfectly fine if they're sharing a house and would probably have more money than me. If they're a single mother of 2 doing care work and have a deadbeat for their kids Dad then granted they'll struggle, spot the problem there though.
