It depends what day it is for the reason, so far we've had, Ukrainians are nazi's, Ukrainians are building a dirty bomb to attack Russia, Ukrainians are developing chemical weapons, Ukrainians are shelling Russians and Russia needs to invade in order to stop a war from happening on Ukraine soil

I don't get it - surely you'd have communications relays moving forward with a working secure system using that - around the middle of the build up, and one of the reasons I thought it was more likely to happen this time around - they were setting up a net of big communication relays just inside the border regions of Russia and Belarus.
 
Heh just seen on the live Reddit feed - one of the Russians who was most vocal pro-isolation for Russia is kicking off because YouTube has terminated his channel...
 
Well least they've tried to upgrade from unencrypted analogue they all seemed to be using. I bet by 3g/4g they also actually mean "a normal cell service".

How can so many of the basics which make a competent military be so wrong? At this stage they basically have 120k or whatever is left running around individually doing whatever they feel is best.

What a massive own goal.

While not to the same level - I suspect this is a fair bit like a war against China would look like despite the fears people have of China.

The centralised command structure, lack of professional soldiers, lack of autonomy within the ranks and real world vs concept for some of this technology will likely dilute their effectiveness vs Western forces considerably.

Not sure how their equipment would perform a lot of it is based off Russian technology but newer takes on it by the Chinese and some of their stuff is pretty good to be fair, some of it likely not so much.

I think the chinese willingness to fight would be significantly better than we are seeing here, Chinese gear is a massive variable but hard to say, the capability might be as overinflated as we have seen during this conflict.

Yeah that would be a factor - depending on the nature of the war of course.

If the information on Twitter is anything to go by Ukraine still hasn't committed its most significant armour assets. Though given the performance of Russian T-72s and 80s there might be a reason for that LOL. Most of the Ukrainian tanks utilised have been the T-64s and older variants so far with I believe at least 2 heavy armour brigades held back west of Kyiv.

Logically Chinese gear should be superior to Russian gear, as both are based on Soviet gear but the Chinese put more money/effort into development and maintenance.
