He will be dead if not in power, so the ICC is a waste of time against him and as stated they have no jurisdiction, they can take evidence but can never use it against him, they are basically taking down history nothing else they can do with it. That is the facts of this. I don't have more time to explain this but do some reading on the ICC and what powers they really have. You will find some shocking facts that Truss clearly has not read.

So basically, you can't explain why he's wrong.

"I don't have more time" You seem to have plenty of time on your hands looking at your recent post history in this thread alone.

FYI I'm not saying you're wrong but the "do some reading" approach isn't a good look.

To be fair in the slim possibility that the Russians hand him over instead of the usual methodology they employ the ICC may well be able to prosecute, but for the most part it is just chronicling history.

He’ll be a good bargaining chip for getting sanctions eased.

And my main point, that Truss, for all her faults, (and she has many, I do not duspute that) was not wrong by saying we take the ICC route, as there is currently no alternative.

Should a different system be setup and put in place, then yes, by all means use a different system, but currently, there is nothing else, so ICC is the correct, and only, course of action.

I sure he’d be long gone by the time anything got there.
Important for the people to see him about the capital. I real middle finger to the Russians, especially with Putin more or less in hiding.

she wasn't the only one, you think she's capable of non-scripted independant thought ?
all the tirade of self-righteous promises in parliament from Preti in parliament yesterday, too, we'll see if Zelensky reproaches the UK for visa granting in todays parliament meeting

Putin compared himself to Catherine the Great for International Women's Day.

Yup, THAT Catherine the Great.

May he meet the same end.

If some of the claims are to be believed their tanks/trucks don't have any sort of GPS type system either (things that are meant to be built into them), which would tie in with smaller, expensive, high tech parts simply not being there to be deployed.

My guess is that a lot of that tech was available on paper, but either had never been made/bought/delivered to the units, was made but failed/damaged and not replaced, or had been delivered but then sold off.

You can't really hide that you've not delivered a tank but you can hide that you've either not delivered half the electronic systems in the vehicle or that you've potentially delivered it to storage with them, then stripped them out to put in the next delivery.

There are a lot of ways you can potentially fiddle the books with military procurement if you can for example count things multiple times, and it's looking like Russia has entire military facilities that are being paid for but aren't actually operating.

It will 100% be down to corruption. The Manufactures and corrupt military leadership would have just assumed that the hardware wouldn't be used for decades anyway so why bother putting it in when they could get rich. As long as it works fine for parades and looks the part then its all good.

I also read this apparently from a Current FSB agent.
I can’t say what guided those in charge to decide to proceed with the execution of this operation (Ukraine invasion), but now they are methodically blaming us (FSB). We are being scolded for our analysis. Recently, we have been increasingly pressured to prepare more reports

All of these political consultants and politicians and the powers-that-be are causing chaos. Most importantly, no one knew that there will be such a war – it was concealed from everyone

For example – you are being asked to analyze various outcomes and consequences of a meteorite attack on Russia (MY COMMENTARY: Here he most likely means the West’s sanctions)

So you research the mode of attack, and you are being told that it’s just a hypothetical and not to stress on the details, so you understand the report is only intended as a checkbox for some bureaucrat, and the conclusions of the analysis must be positive for Russia

otherwise you basically get interrogated for not doing good work. So, you have to write that we have all necessary measures available to nullify the effects of a given type of attack. We are completely overworked.

But then it turns out that the hypothetical has turned into reality, and the analysis we’ve done on that hypothetical is total trash. We have no answer to the sanctions because of this. No one knew there’d be such a war, so no one prepared for these sanctions.

Do I look like a foreign minister to you ? Also I don't have time to play dress up as she does more than actually doing her job clearly .

Reasons by lawyers and people that understand these laws are all over the internet. :-

Is Putin likely to face the ICC over Russia’s actions in Ukraine?

Op-Ed: Putin’s crime of aggression in Ukraine and the International Criminal Court

https://www.latimes.com/opinion/sto...gression-ukraine-international-criminal-court

The most important fact is "The ICC has a gap, however, as its jurisdiction does not yet extend to the crime of aggression perpetrated on the territory of Ukraine."

also

In 2010, the U.S., Britain and France, fearful that charges of the crime of aggression might be deployed against them or their allies, undermined a potentially valuable legal tool that could now apply to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Consequently, the prospect of a swift and decisive ICC indictment of Putin for ordering the unlawful invasion of a sovereign nation is non-existent.

Basically nothing can be done, it's collecting historical facts only or if someone hands Putin over to them and they maybe able to use that against him, but again from reading what they can and can't do, seems like he will walk and not even get questioned. There is a lot of small print that makes him walk, why wasn't he taken to the ICC before for the attacks on Georgia and Crimea ? Because... for the very same reasons now and he knows that if he was ever caught or an arrest warrant put out for him.

Lindsey Graham wants Russia held accountable for war crimes by the International Criminal Court even though the US doesn't recognize its authority

https://www.businessinsider.com/lin...nal-court-ukraine-resolution-2022-3?r=US&IR=T

Google is your friend, also I repeat I do not know the international laws regarding such crimes and never had an interest in it, but with the small amount of knowledge I do have and by researching I know that Truss put us all to shame and really had no idea what she was talking about and she's paid to be our foreign minister with tax payers money that is clearly going down the drain on her.

Why does anyone get surprised that ministers are crap?

It's hardly likely she has an ounce of competence in anything related to a job role that encompasses the whole world outside being the UK.
What is she a lawyer? Oxford graduate in something? I have no idea....
She gets fed info and has to look like an idiot regurgitating it.

The last one seems to have been fake news.

34 posts in the past 6 years with the majority of them being in this thread. You then just happen to come across a Japanese language tweet of a random photo which could be from anytime and the title of the page says :

"that are not biased by the West" and also adds this on to the end of the article about a ship : "Earlier, 5-tv.r said a torture chamber was found in the village of Kryakovka .
From this settlement, Ukrainian troops bombarded the People's Republic of Lugansk for eight years ."

BREAKING - The night of March 8 in capital #Kyiv was the first night since the war began when the #Ukrainian air defense intercepted and destroyed ALL Russian cruise missiles. No impacts registered in Kyiv this night. Source: Ukrainian Army via Telegram channel "operativnoZSU"
