I am afraid when the Ukrainian president told the public to arm themselves he unwittingly gave a green light for Russians to rightly or wrongly consider them legitimate targets. I felt at the time it was a rash order or request, one that could easily be used against none military personnel by their enemies.

Russia was going to kill them anyway. Better to go down fighting.

It is the reality of war, especially against an invader who wants you to surrender on their terms and/or doesn't care if you surrender at all.

The last 30-40 years really has insulated a lot of people against reality in this respect.

Apologist rubbish, when you are looking down the sight of a weapon you know what a justifiable target is or targeting a hospital/residential areas with indiscriminate artillery fire. That's a war crime.

^^ this ^^ Putin doesn't give a damn if you are armed or not. When he didn't take the country in a few days he was always going to go for maximum damage in the hope of breaking the Ukrainian spirit.

It's not propaganda to notice the inherent corruption that lay at the heart of every decision Trump has or will make. If he had the ability he'd be more than happy to emulate Putin's insular police state per the fact that he is pathologically authoritarian and yet we're supposed to pretend otherwise?

Since it's barely relevant beyond said comparison, I shall move on.
 
Russia says its not a War. And in the next sentence they say supply lines are a legitamate target. How can supply lines be a target in a non War lol
