There's probably a ton of lurkers of this thread (like me), who tbh skip most of the tittle tattle and just look for the posts with some source links going on, i.e. 0007's posts.

I agree with other posters here. 0007's are very useful, and far more value than a lot of drivel about immigration, brexit, farage, trump and so on that some eejits keep harping back to. If you don't like his posts, put him on ignore. No need for a poll, you can "cancel" him all by yourself. I've done that with many posters in this thread already.

Any confirmation over the name of the latest general reported killed on olexander sherba's twitter a couple of hours back?

That would make it 5 major generals killed or 25% of allocated Russian Ukraine based commanders which is nuts.

'These new measures impose restrictions on 15 Russian officials who enabled and supported President Putin’s choice to invade a peaceful and sovereign country.'
'As part of Canada’s growing list of sanctions on Russian leadership, these new measures will apply additional pressure on President Putin to reverse course. His choice to further invade violates Ukraine’s sovereignty, territorial integrity and independence.'
'Aligning with measures taken by our partners in the international community, the actions taken today demonstrate a global commitment to impose sweeping economic measures on the Russian leadership to weaken its ability to wage war.'

Absolute madness, a 2 star general should be nowhere near an area where you can be taken out(except for a lucky C&C strike by a drone) never mind 5 of them. WTF are the Lt-Col’s and full Col’s doing.

The most chilling words in the Russian army "congratulations on your promotion major general".

idk do they really get classed as "Soldiers" ?

still makes me wonder where everyone is, from the footage we have seen you'd think only small convoys and recon teams are even operating.

even the Ukraine army where are they? I don't think I ever saw more than around 50 Ukraine soldiers together and that was near the start guarding some bridge.

it doesn't really feel like some massive war is going on, there must be areas with heavy concentrations of troops though I guess.

Lot of ground to cover - Ukraine is huge and these troop numbers in terms of ground war are actually really tiny - WW2 you'd have been talking 10 even 20x the numbers. Though we have seen videos of larger armoured convoys and the aftermath of some bigger fights we've not really seen much of bigger scale stuff - but then a lot of that even in this day and age tends to be dug in positions exchanging artillery fire and probing attacks for days or weeks until one side has routed or suppressed the other into falling back. A lot of the bigger troop concentrations are along what used to be the line of control bordering the breakaway regions and more are built up on both sides for a potential siege of Kyiv (probably about 1/3rd of the forces on each side). Ukraine has also held some of their larger troop concentrations back in blocking positions to make it harder for Russia to surround some of the strategic areas in the south east and the capital.
