Can someone answer to my q. is it possible for rtx 3080 to move from upper slot 4.0 x16 to a bottom slot without to insert it so just to screw it to the case ,and just use a riser gen 4.0 and connect it to a upper pcie slot with riser cable,so basicly i want my gpu to be at a bottom of the case (lian li pc011d) and still using it/and be connected to a upper slot?

gpu rtx 3080 gigabyte gaming oc
case lian li pc011d

Lian-Li sell a vertical mount kit for the case, which rotates the GPU 90 degrees and includes a PCIe Gen4 riser.
Or do you specifically want to mount the card in the usual orientation? If so, I'm not sure that will be possible without some modding as it would make the slot a bit taller than one on the board would be... Unless your motherboard is mATX or ITX as then I guess there would be nothing in the way.

I'd go vertical, looks better anyway ;)

yes i want same horizontal position at lower level but connected to a 4x16,mobo is rog strix z690 gaming e,as i have found out that bottom pcie slot is electricaly x4 which is too low for this kind of gpu,if its x8 that fine to,but people are saying its x4

If it physically fits with the riser then it will work but you will be blocking the rest of the pcie connectors with the riser cable in the way so they will not be able to be used.

You tell us ;) I'm guessing not. You would need the GPU PCI Slot to be below the motherboard to fit the riser PCI-E port and then need a slot or two below to fit the rest of the GPU.

Basically you would need at least 2 or 3 PCI slots below the motherboard and I think there is only 1 with an ATX motherboard and the standard O11D case.

might get away with it if you have a micro-atx mobo. The other issue is you don't really want the GPU on the very bottom slot if it's air cooled as it'll effect the HSF quite a bit
3.0 spec risers are a lot cheaper and more reliable. Performance difference of 3.0 to 4.0 is tiny on Nvidia, not sure on AMD if you are using SAM though

not sure about what space under mobo you are talking about at all :)
allright i guess then im gonna move gpu to the x4 pcie slot as i heard its gonna impact around 15fps in games its not that much if we compare hassle with riser etc.
