Thank you everyone, some people really are seemingly desperate for attention :)
Can't understand why someone wouldn't just simply use the ignore button and move on as many others have.

Or PsyOp by Ukraine by denying it keeping Russia on edge.

I think it's hilarious either way - if the Ukrainians did it (most likely) but deny it because obvs Putin and others high up in Russia don't trust people below them and in doing so they can cause more paranoia/infighting...

It doesn't seem too likely that two Russian pilots would be *that* lost to the point where they don't know they're flying over a Russian city!

I really hope they get some good anti-ship missiles soon.

This is how cool Javelins are... they've actually got a longer range than the main gun on most tanks so with some targets you don't even need to worry about anything coming back, but you can just fire and forget... get into cover before the enemy even knows what hit them.

Quite a neat upgrade vs the old MILAN's that anti-tank guys used to carry, those things were wire-guided, literally! Copper wire was spooled out of the back of the missile as it flew along and the operator had to keep aiming at the tank - adjustments to the flight path of the missile came via the thin copper wire streaming out behind it.

Not entirely related to Ukraine - but kind of related to some of the Mig talk and transferring between planes - someone flying a near 70 year old Mig 15 for the first time:

This looks like great/monumental news but sadly it's just hot air.

It's good that they are doing more to try and help but you have to question how much use this will actually be. As pretty much every country who use ex-USSR tanks use Russian built T-72s, whereas Ukraine use the Ukrainian built T-64 and T-80/84 tanks. This means the tanks likely to be sent to Ukraine will be T-72s and probably older ones (in some cases they may actually be ones Ukraine sold off in the 90s), which means none of the Ukrainian tankers under the age of 40 will have been trained on them and they will be in an equal/worse state of modernization/survivability to the junk Russia failed to invade in.

The only states with decent tanks of the types Ukraine use, and enough of them to make sending some worthwhile, are China and Pakistan, neither of which are likely to want to **** off Russia.

Bit quick.

Tanks and antitank have always gone hand in hand but technology is adapting faster and faster, it becomes a battle of obsolescence multiplied by multiple hits can often overcome step iterations in tank evolution.

Tanks do have a place if used according to their battlefield.

I guess it will allow them to put this stuff into defensive positions in less hot areas and their better stuff can be moved to where they’re needed most?

I'm waiting to see a long loiter UAV AWACs for counter UAV..

The physics requires either large radar to get small targets long range or multiple smaller high sensitivity radars working in cooperation as an array to detect small targets.

A small warm of those with UAVs with specialised UAVs with A2A and A2G in rotation for reloading/refueling would make it very difficult.
