Hi,

I need some new sun glasses and have a budget of £50, I've had some Fossil sun glasses for ten years and they are a bit battered.

Are there brands to go with in this price range in terms of stand out brands for this kind of budget?

Oh I'm also after a modern slim minimalist wallet that'll hold four cards, I like The Ridge wallets but at £100 plus they are expensive I was thinking again max of £50

Recommendations appreciated!

Thanks

I'm such an idiot, I got them from the outlet at Cheshire oaks and they were around £50 so I just assumed they were typically much more expensive, just had a look on Amazon and there are loads for under £50 so that's that then.

haha yeah I had a quick look to see how expensive they were. The aviator's look nice.

Cheers I'll have a proper look later, not a huge fan of aviators but there are plenty with the thicker black rims which I prefer so shouldnt be a problem finding some. Thanks for the common sense, I need it sometimes :o

I remember before i started wearing glasses i thought sun glasses that cost £70+ like Ray-Ban was crazy money

Then i started wearing glasses and they cost £360+ every 2 years :(:(:(

are you buying something to protect your eyes from the sun or a status symbol

I got a pair of glasses and sunglasses for £53 the last time I bought some. Unless you've got some crazy prescription (-8 or lower) there's no need to spend that much.

£56 so a little over but looks similar to the Ridge?

If you’re going sunglasses, got to be polarised IMO :)

I have polarised prescription sunglass lenses in a Nike frame and I love them. Now that I wear glasses on a more regular basis, I cannot see myself ever going back to not having prescription lenses in my sunglasses.

As for my regular computer glasses, I have blue light filter lenses in a super lightweight flexible frame and they're also fantastic.

Yep polarised here .using them today Maui Jim peahi with ultra thin glass lenses ,amazing how much more underwater detail you can see in the Ocean ,going from cheap Sunny's to these is like going from crt to oled
Not in budget but £130 maybe

I think in the world of wearing sun glasses most would buy them for both reasons.

You are basically say that we should all drive around in an old banger that works instead of a brand new beemer (or words to that effect)

Some are technically better like Maui Jim .others are mass produced lluxottica image over performance ray ban and Oakley

My Varifocal lenses and coating alone costs roughly £200, Then there the cost of the frame to add to that..
(think the titanium frame i had costs £170)

Having Tinted or Polarising or Light Reaction lenses would also cost another £30 to £60 extra on top
