There is a zzzzzzzerrrr noise from an interior item that I can’t locate. I hate zzzzzzzerrrrr noises.

Never buy a McLaren![]()

I hear the Chiron was their attempt at creating a version for the masses but frankly I’d be embarrassed to drive the Chiron as it pales. It’s the one with six gears and 115bhp too. Has to be some madman at VW that came up with that monster.
Oh also it doesn’t have climate control, I’m adding that to the list.
2016 Ford Mondeo and its stupid stop start system. It honestly feels like an afterthought with my specific engine / gearbox combo (the 2.0 petrol ecoboost with automatic transmission).
Essentially mine only keeps the engine stopped if I keep my foot on the brake. So as I approach lights, breaking to come to a complete stop, the engine stops. The instant I take my foot of the brake the engine restarts, even after applying the handbrake. The only way to get around this is to either keep the brake pushed for the full time of the stop, or knock my automatic into netural, somewht removing the "automatic" nature of the car.
Other than that, it's great, but I really wish there was a better solution to the above.
Doesnt your car have a hold feature when you quickly pump the brake pedal once you have come to a stop, so you don’t need to hold the car on the brakes?
I dont think so. I certainly dont have any kind of auto hold button. I've googled it before and tried the "push brake pedal hard" suggestion that other brands use but that doesnt do it. I must admit I've never tried a quick pump though but it's certianly not mentioned in the book and it really does seem like the only two options are to keep brake pressue, or drop it into netural. I'll give that a try, but it certainly feels like the system was an afterthought.
