Wheel nearly came off recently bought car

The physics that cause a lose / incorrectly fitted wheel nut/bolt to detach are exactly the same be it on a 44t artic or a 1t car.
Well that’s not really correct is it. One is under much higher forces than the other. Hence why one is much more highly regulated than the other.

100% this was the wheel refurb company, I've seen it happen before but ofc the dealer should be responsible.
I have a friend that refurbish wheels and he doesn't do jobs for dealers because they don't want to pay for a proper job, they just want the face of the wheel to look like new, so people that refurbish wheels for dealers usually do a crap cosmetic job and on the face of the wheel only, they don't care about bent or damaged wheel, they only fix curbs and paint the face.

I'd be even more worried that you have tyres fitted from a brand called Churchill.

I've heard of most ditchfinder brands, but never have I ever seen a car wearing some named after an insurance company.

;)

When we bought other half's Kuga it came with 'Triangle' tyres . The jokes were aplenty.

That's one ugly sidewall too. I would never buy a premium car with budget tyres. It doesn't reflect well on the owner and their tightness to maintain a car.

I've typically seen it done by dealers where one has come in with low tread.
