Avatars and titles

One thing I would say is that the post counts to be are rather high for changes! I mean its pointless if its every 10 or 100 posts etc. but at the higher levels jumps of 25000 posts seems a little excessive.. Its going to take me a long time to get upto the dizzying heights of having my avatar as Paulie or Silvio etc. as it stands i'd need to post 20 times a day every single day for the next 6.7 years just to make it to Silvio. 20.5 years to get to the highest rank without appointment...

Do you have the link to the page where it tells you about the number of posts required?

Quite a few have over 50k. It's not sexist, it's how it is - men are better :p

If there was some obvious progression or clear differentiation easily/quickly identifiable between the avatars, maybe it would work but...it doesn't. It's literally just random gangsters to anyone who isn't very familiar with as said, Godfather movies and the other few. It's a bit cringe if I'm honest. Needs a complete overhaul if we still think linking it to post count adds value.

It's just had one. The last overhaul was in February 2017, the previous one was in 2002 and there have been a very small number of changes in-between but the theme has been constant since 2002. Don't expect anything to change anytime soon.

Yeah constantly awful since 2002. That's the very point. Change the theme. No I don't expect it, just being blunt where others won't. The theme sucks. I'm not the only one that feels this way. You might be surprised.

Seriously though, it doesn't look great. There is only one female avatar and it's the lowest rank! There are several female characters in the Godfather fillms, at least include a couple more higher up.
 
I never turned the avatars off before but may once you can do that, just not a fan of this new style, something feels off. Maybe it's that they all feel too zoomed out compared to the previous ones, which tend to have a large face focus? Or maybe because they feel just smaller in size? Clicking on someone's profile in the thread makes them appear a bit better.
