As I say, I disagree. I’d very much like to compare our usage and equipment types. What I tend to see on the UBNT forums is people expecting stable performance out of bleeding edge firmware updates. Since Chris Buechler took over the routing team and they moved the Controller development group to Kraków they made all the users beta testers and made every UDM/UDM Pro user join the Beta (EA) program to get basic functionality. That’s totally unacceptable and it caused huge pain for LOTS of prosumer home users who bought the advertising on the UDM Pro.Pleased to hear it's working for you - but my experience differs and I've come across a number of others in forums with the same issues.
When it works, it's exactly as you say - very easy to deploy new access points and easy to update. But when an update fails (and it's happened three times in five years for me now) it really is a pain to sort out.
You don’t see that in the switching or access point groups. Believe me, I have been threatened with withdrawal of privileges by sections of UBNT staff because I am seen as such a vocal critic of the routing and controller groups.
