Hey Guys,

I am just curious about this MSI MPG Z690 Edge Wifi Motherboard, as the product description on the Overclockers website says it is DDR4 memory compatible, however on the MSI Website itself, and some others, it is listed as DDR5 compatible. Does anyone actually have this board, or know for sure? Thanks.

There are both DDR4 and DDR5 versions so make sure you buy the right version. I have the DDR4 version and it's a good board although rather expensive. Motherboard prices are stupid these days. If you buy one don't forget to do a review for it under MSI's promotion for which you get a $50 Steam gift car (it's actually 5x $10 codes). When I did mine a couple of months ago it worked out at £38.80 but the pound has gotten significantly weaker since then. One thing I would advise is to shop around because it is not a £280 board.

The DDR4 version has DDR4 in the name, the DDR5 version is "Z690 Edge Wifi".

I have this board the DDR4 version, i paid £235 for mine on release prices seem to have shot up ever since though.

Very good board and i like the MSI bios a lot and get regular bios updates it's just a little overpriced now so shop around like pastymuncher says above.

Why do we think the prices have gone up a lot lately? Is it to do with the whole chip shortage thing? Are prices set to reduce anytime soon??
