Does anyone have experience with Freelander 2's?
I'm looking to buy a cheapish second car (~£8k ish) in the next 6 to 8 months so I'm starting to look into possible cars. I'm not really sure yet what type of car we want although we're likely to need it for quite a few longer trips and some decent luggage carrying capacity would be useful (our other car is a Mini). There were many things I liked about my poverty spec 2019 Evoque, particularly for longer trips in poor weather, as well as some things I didn't like. I'm not prepared to spend that sort of money on this car. But the Freelander 2 popped up on my radar as seeming to be good value.
Are they plagued with typical Land Rover reliability issues?
What are they like to live with?
Are there any particular engines or trim levels to look out for (or avoid)?
Stupid idea, walk away?
Thanks.
