Kitchen units gloss cover peeling off

The units are MDF (obvs) and I need to replace the glossy covering. I tried painting them and let's just say it has not gone well and leave it at that.

Any idea what this material is called and where I get it? Does it come pre-moulded or do I need to cut it to shape?

Have a look for some self adhesive vinyl. Will have to cut it yourself but should be straightforward as seem to be flat doors vs shaker style

Something like this would be fine: https://www.wrapdirect.com/white-gloss-vinyl-with-adt/ although you can probably get it cheaper from a diy shed or ebay etc (but may not be as good quality).

Worst case presumably you could buy new cabinet doors to fit to the existing cabinets?

I tried getting a replacement door and they've stopped doing it
Tried an alternative whoda thunk theres some may different shades of high gloss white lol

I’m redoing them all. no idea what they are but I was hoping I could just order the facias

Yep. My sample arrived and it looks good. My only concern is how I’m going to get it to fold into the corners.

you'll need a hair drier/heat gun to get the wrap to go to the shape of the doors

just make sure it's suitable for what you want to do - try it with your sample piece...depending how much the vinyl shrinks the tight/smooth radiused corners like in your OP might be difficult to replicate

the doors would have been 'wrapped' with something like this originally...

since it looks like there's bits of the original 'wrap' missing/damaged you'll need to remove the whole lot before putting on the new vinyl or it'll show through....

depending how determined/fussy you are might be worthwhile looking in to new doors or getting a company to refurbish existing doors

yes your picture makes film surface look uneven so would need heat ? ... get a sample of something thicker 200micron, plus primer/adhesion promoter too ?
