A T62 might be obsolete in todays standard but a shell will still take your head off put enough of them into the battlefield and it's still a real threat. Obsolete or not they still need taking care of.

T-62s are being pulled out of mothballed stock to arm LNR/DPR forces and for use within occupied territory i.e. counter insurgency so as to free up other forces, not to replace frontline Russian army losses as a lot of the media are making out.

These are more recent sightings than the T-62s.



Contrary to what some have claimed they were pulling out a lot of the really old stuff rather than dip too heavily into active reserve stock, now they seem to be turning more heavily to the active reserves.

Disappointing to hear but I can understand why, it only takes one Ukrainian commander who has murdered relatives to decided he wants some revenge on Russian civilians. I wouldn't shed a tear if that actually happened but it does risk escalation, besides it's not like Ukraine aren't getting any advanced weapons under lend lease.

You probably should. We can hardly condemn Russian forces for targetting civilians but then tacitly condone Ukranians killing Russian civilians, even if it is driven by retaliation/revenge, both would be war crimes.

Dunno if true or trying to deflect from losses elsewhere but claims Ukraine is mounting a huge 3 pronged attack on Kherson, one from the direction of Mykolaivka in Kherson Oblast, having pulled a lot of Russian forces away to the Donbas and using a measured retreated into prepared positions in the Donbas to keep the Russians tied up.

See the tweet below it from Reuters about Kherson being 'pro-Russian' ? Just wow. Someone needs a bloody slap at Reuters, as Russians are murdering people and stealing the grain.

BTW, I would think Kherson has more strategic importance due to potentially allowing exports of grain to the world.
