Silent build recommendations

There's always the option of an open case (maybe a test bench type thing) and then mounting a Noctua P1 on it, that'll give you 65W of cooling with no moving parts, meaning something like a 5700X or G becomes manageable.

If you want a dedicated GPU then it's the Palit Kalm-X range, which I believe goes up to a GTX1650.

If you want pcie gen 4.0 why not just get a i5 12600 or i7 12700 and lock it to 65w that way you'll end up with a much more powerful CPU vs a 5600G with a similar power draw and heat output.

Do we know when the new ones are likely to be announced/released? Do we think there will be something this year?

It is expected that AMD and Intel will release processors later this year - along with new GPUs from AMD, Intel and Nvidia. There is a possibility that this will mainly be very high end hardware (or, in the case of Intel GPUs only released in China)

Oh so the Intel CPUs are infact faster for the same TDP?

This is the sort of thing I'm looking to make faster. I like the Gmail interface, but on my current (very slow) laptop it takes ages to load: https://pasteboard.co/1RnLpOtdVSRV.png

A 12600k or 12700 locked at 65w TDP for example would blow away a 5600G for computation and would likely be easier to cool as the die is larger with more surface area to spread the heat.
