Have to wait and compare really, i'm still many gens out of date. The more time goes on, the higher the card i'm looking at. Getting an rx6800 for a nice price is favourable, but have to wait to see what gains the lower end models are like. I'm quite attracted to the FPS per £ spent, so will see how that comes out.

My god i thought it was April 1st again!

Sadly not, typical EVGA cheeping out and not providing a real stand support or a pci type support that screws to the case slots area to support it from underneath.

I remember when they showed it I was like they are having a laugh a £2200 card with a leash... only good use for it is to hang yourself with for buying such a dumb card from them in the first place.

Watch Jays review on the card and the eLeash, if you want to get to the eLeash bit 8mins and 30 secs takes you to the funny installation and fail, he ripped it out in the end it was so stupid (he's an EVGA shill to add and well thought it was dumb, but played it off as the card doesn't need it blaa blaa).

Likely a 4070. Wanted to splurge on the AMD MCM but they'll likely still flop on RT so in that case I might as well go for the value pick again.

Lol thats insane! I cant wait to see what EVGA do with the 40xx cards, scaffolding? a bespoke case?

Got to buy GPU by the end of the month, must say that the prospect is not thrilling. It's pairing with a 10th gen CPU so personally that makes anything below 16 PCI panes a tough buy :(

I will only buy current generation cards if they are worth the price. Won't pay more than £600 and only if it's for a good card. Otherwise I'll keep using my current one until it dies.

Tempted to buy a second hand 3090 as they can be had for under £1000 now not quite made my mind up as the 4000 may run hotter than the sun.

I have very little interest in paying much over £600. If I can get at least 50% performance over a 3080 at the same price point as the 3080 MSRP, then I could be tempted.

Given that the cards are months away and we know very little, then I don't really see much point in the poll.

Yes without a doubt as the grunt is no longer there for any of the current gen gpus in several titles especially on RT front (obviously all depending on pricing though)

well im on a 1070 for now but basically looking at no more than dropping £500, be that on a 3080 or a 4070 ? see what happens when they drop i guess.

That's a very precise amount... I don't have a fixed budget but I'd rather not go over £500 for a 7700XT.
Well I bought my first GPU in 1999 so I've always used 1999 pricing + inflation as a guide. The TNT2 Pro was £149.99 then which is now the equivalent to £232.02.

GPU pricing has gone crazy during the last decade so I'm refusing to give in to it.

eLeash String, makes it special.

It's an eString. Much like a high tech thong.

I have a GTXn 1070 at present and paid for £430 for it, allowing for infaltion, pre-Cold War Mk II, i would pay no more than around £550, for 1440P gaming, but I am perfectly happy to by current Gen if the next Gen os just outragously priced.

I get the feeling that the next Gen will be way above the prices at present, as the GPU shortage and the rampant increase in prices this caused, has give Nvidia and AMD, some bad ideas, just look at the RTX 3090 Ti or the AMD 6950XT/6750XT/6650XT cards, and will only come back down to earth, if people do not buy.

I'm not sure I'll bother upgrading to 4000 series.
My 3080 Ti didn't cost me a lot after selling my previous cards so probably best to just keep it for now.
I need to look at the rest of my rig.

I'll definitely upgrade, might not get as lucky as last time though and get one day one like the 3080, but alas the sad truth is I've stuck £2K aside for a GPU upgrade but that includes a new case/rads and a few fans, I'm guessing it might not be enough, will likely at this rate raid the savings again
