America can't be trusted too!, the U.S. provided Ukraine with $1.5 billion in military aid from 2014 to 2019 you talk about peace & democracy agreement but where was that agreement when USA invaded Iraq War 2003 where was the sanctions placed on America for lying to the world just for oil? And it seems that NATO, USA UK didn't respect international law and UN charter agreement then. Was it not days before the fighting started, the US was the “culprit” in the Ukraine crisis, heightening tensions, creating panic on social media and even hyping up the possibility of warfare. your opinion of peace don't work in the real world. I know that there are a lot of people who just can’t change their respective views for the United States, but their political position in the world just can’t be ignored anymore.

So Zelensky and so many others are saying this only ends with peace talks, you say no to the peace talks as you and a few others here can't trust Russia, so it leaves them with a fight to the death ?
You didn't specify what your alternative was and just rubbished my post, is this what you have dropped down to?

Russia GTFO, and in return Ukraine will send a bill instead of doing to Russia what Russia did to them.

If Russia gains anything from this, they will just do it again, and again and again. This needs to be a loss for Russia or the results of "peace talks" will be temporary at best.

re: the low on ammo reports. Dunno, if its wishful thinking but to my my mind there are more advantages to spreading the story its running low (putting pressure on nations to hurry up with weapons, encouraging Russians to commit resources into pre-prepared "kill zones" etc) than there is in admitting the true state of things. There is an assumption in the west that everything Ukraine says is accurate when the reality is there are times when it's better to be.. less accurate.

Sometimes something is so plainly rubbish there is no other response - if I remotely thought there was genuine intention behind your words I would have made a more serious reply.

Zelensky can say this only ends with peace talks but that requires all sides to come to the table with a genuine and realistic desire for peace and that clearly does not apply to Russia here.

People seem to be repeatedly missing that it was said numerous times that Putin would not allow Ukraine to join NATO, Zelensky ignored this as he was promised help from the West should Russia dare try anything.

Earlier in this thread a lot of people said Ukraine should be allowed to join NATO if they want and in an ideal world they would, but as America has repeatedly proven in the middle east, reality is far from ideal.

Don't put all your eggs in one basket. But that is exactly what some of the countries in the EU have done in regards to energy. You would have thought someone would have planned properly for just this situation and diversified properly, but no.

The other thing you would have thought we would have planned for, you know lessons learned from all those war games we have, is having appropriate stocks of ammunition. But it seems we are struggling to supply Ukraine with ammunition.

It's almost like collectively we have been living in cloud cuckoo land hoping for the best and not preparing for the worst.

It's shocking really the general level of incompetence to get into this situation and not be prepared.
