Leaving RGB leds on 24/7

I have my USBs stay powered when the PC is shut down, so I can charge various things, but I also run my monitor LED ring through the USB and it serves as a side lamp/background light.
Admitedly this is not fully 24/7, as I do turn stuff off when I leave the room, especially these days as it all costs me twice as much now... but there's no particular harm running them all the time. LEDs have something like 50,000-100,000 hour lifespans, so worst case scenario would be that you burn them out after about six whole years of constant use.....

I'm always worried about this when running the cheap crap ones I run stuck to my tv so I run them off a separate plug that I unplug when I turn the tv off... I wouldn't dare plug them directly into anything worth any money like the tv or monitor let alone the new build pc I'm planning. but I refuse to pay money for named brand leds that I'll never know aren't knocked out in the same factory as cheap ones...

Well now they turn off and on intermittently this is after being left on all weekend. Didn’t buy the speakers for the leds and they still work ok as speakers. Get the occasional light show so all good. Speakers only a tenner.

This morning I disconnected and reconnected them to the USB port and tried to turn the LEDs off by pressing an area on top of one of the speakers.

They didn’t respond then about five minutes later they switched off and never came back on for the whole two hours while I was there.

So hopefully they’ll stay off now, I’d rather have them off then switching on and off intermittently with a mind of their own.

The speakers are pretty decent quality sound wise for the money spent, a shame about the LEDs but it’s not the end of the world.

Well the same thing happened today, I didn’t disconnect them though and the lights came back on at first then I pressed the button to switch them off and about five minutes later they went off and stayed off.

Not too bad if I have to do this every morning and they stay off.

They might dim a bit overtime as LEDs tend to do but it will take years for anything noticeable to happen.

Well they still turn off and on as they please. Novelty of the new speakers has worn off now, they work fine as basic speakers that’s all that matters for a tenner.
