I have a amd 3700 currently running a gtx1080 on a 165hz 2k freesync monitor on a mortar b550 motherboard . I only havd a 600 watt psu.

I want to update my graphics card. I can get a 3070 the cheap option.

Would my psu be ok for this card?

If i have to update the psu as well i can afford either 6800xt or 3070ti for approx 700 from overclockers which way would you go ?
I play no mans sky and elite dangerous and star citizen and sometimes WOW.

The 3070 is £470 straight from nvidia?

6800 XT is a lot better than the 3070 but also costs more.

I would get a 3070ti FE which is currently available, same price as that 3070.

650w should be fine but then it depends on what you have else in your system. I know people using a 3080 with a 650w.

That PSU is rated pretty badly on the PSU tier lists (marked as Tier E -Avoid on psucultists) that you will find in various places online so it might be an idea to get a quality unit.
