What's my chances, scenario of 11mins non payment with every intention to pay I've appealed.

5 mins getting sorted (parking, getting kids out of car and gear), 1 min to walk to the machine to discover only coins were accepted. 5 mins trying to locate local atm (discovered closest 6mins walk each way), obtain coins (failed) whilst wife waited with kids by car. We then left for another carpark that accepted card payments (council run).

Not holding out much luck, but feel robbed by it all / lesson learnt to check and double check who manages said car park before entering.

There's a good group on Facebook that will help you fight this. Should be easy to win but it will potentially take 18 months of letters backwards and forwards (at least, that was my experience with a very similar scenario). Never admit who the driver was is rule number 1.

How much are they trying to charge you? If it’s unreasonable they should be asked to estimate their actual loss from the 11 minutes of parking.

Not for a long time - registered keeper can now be found liable.

Feel your pain, got a £100 pcn the other day because the cameras didn’t see me leave in the evening, I was back the following morning for work, it somehow didn’t see me enter then either, then it finally saw me leave that afternoon after I finished work. They’re saying I stayed for over 24 hours :( have appealed with the two separate tickets I purchased on the two separate days, but no doubt they’ll simply say tough, pay me.

Charge is £60 rising to £100
I'd fight it because I don't like people trying to take advantage of me. It's the principle for me, rather than the cost. If no-one gave in to these greedy parasites then they would cease to exist however the charge is relatively insignificant so most just pay it.

Be warned though, the time and effort required is significant.

That was the old rules, the registered keeper can be compelled to name the driver, or else they become liable by default.

I guess a tricky one, you could argue about the requirement of coin payment - it's certainly more the norm these days for people not to carry change with them. Was the requirement of coin payment clearly sign posted when you entered the car park?

Typical scummy move by parking eye.

Are they charging you a £60 entry fee to the car park or for 11 minutes of parking?

Can they prove you actually parked for any of that 11 minutes and weren't just driving around looking for a suitable space?

If you have proof of payment for another nearby car park straight after would certainly give a lot of weight to your claim that you were unable to find a suitable space (technically this is true since you couldn't find one you were actually able to pay for)
