Help - Hard sweet stuck to seat

One of my little darlings got hold of and ate a hard candy sweet in the back of the car. I caught them and told them off so they decided to hide it underneath the seat protector so it is now completely hardened and stuck to the seat fabric.

I tried picking it off but that's no good, any ideas how I can get it off, is there a good upholstery cleaner/solvent I can buy?

As its just sugar a steam cleaner or even wallpaper steam thingy will soften and loosen it's grip.
