Wasn't anywhere near as good as THoHH and certainly not, "brilliant". But i did enjoy it.

I was interested in The Haunting of Hill House, but I got the impression it might be constant jump scares. Is this the case? Or is it more like Midnight Mass, which had a couple?

I didn't think there were that many jump scares (there are a few big ones though), there are more in Hill House than Bly Manor though.

Thanks Shami, I’ll give it a go. I get a bit tired of ‘cheap’ jump scare films, but I guess that’s the nature of them!
Will give them a go after I’m done with Umbrella Academy and Stranger Things.
I enjoyed Midnight Mass, so should enjoy it hopefully.

Come on, the whole lesbian relationship thing running through the thing was utterly pointless and purely there to tick boxes. It was just jarring and badly written. That was the least of its problems though, it was just poor compared to hill House.

Pretty much a single jump scare I can recall and it's so well crafted it doesn't feel cheap or lazy.

The Undeclared War (re. cyber attacks) - Channel 4
First episode was last Thursday (30th June).
Normally drama is not my thing but Simon Pegg (who stars in it) revealed that the topic has been meticulously researched...5 years in the making by a BAFTA winning writer, so the content has either occurred or 'has not been wall gamed' Hence I am watching this for the insights i.e. info that is not generally freely available to the public. I imagine many members on here might also be interested in it!

Just finished watching The Adam Project I actually really liked it. IMO not in my favorite movies but I liked it a lot. The plot was pretty good, and the sarcastic overtone of the entire film portrayed by Ryan’s character just does it for me. To be fair I could watch any other Ryan Reynolds movie and see the same personality haha. Advice to all of you guys, please don't forget to use vpn while streaming or searching online (here is the list of few good free versions) as it is really important for the safety.
