Meanwhile the government is procrastinating over whether the completion of the sale of the UK's only major microchip manufacturing plant to the Chinese of all people, is a good idea or not...

Then they can be aided in embedding viruses in microchips as well as peoples' lungs. Difficult decision....

If you take out the links of Bingham and Seven and the ramblings of Amnesia I'm not sure what you're left with tbh
No when Amnesia doesn't post you are left with nothing but Ukrainian propaganda, it would be different if I were posting pro-Russian news but I haven't.
I just question the constant stream of bs from the likes of bingham and that youtube promoter.
I mean what is the point of the thread when people are repeatedly allowed to post stuff which probably isn't true, certainly not fact checked and whenever someone questions the words of the echoe chamber they are insulted out of the thread.

This isn't a discussion thread anymore if people with a slightly opposing view are just insulted and called Russian shills.
All you have to do is go back in the thread a few months to see how many people have been driven out by insults by the same people time and time again because they held different views.

I wonder if in months or years to come the EU's Von der Leyen is again engulfed in financial scandal? It seems when she is around lucrative contracts worth millions or billions the books never seem to balance.

How the woman avoided jail after her last two, kindergarten level defended, financial fiascos is open to debate, and how she is still such a powerful figure within the EU suggests she may have dirt on those that matter... This situation with money and equipment going to Ukraine is a money launderers and backhander seekers dream.

With China again overtly threatening to invade Taiwan, this is just ridiculous to even consider to sell.

Good to see some sanctions against Belarus.

I'm guessing from the way the RAF RC-135W is behaving in the Black Sea there will likely be Russian ballistic missile launches from ships/subs within the next couple of hours.

Pretty crazy given the strategic value of semiconductor manufacturing in the global balance of power.

Last night I was reading up on some of the feedback on the effectiveness of the M777's from both the Russian and Ukrainian perspectives. It seems that the Russian's have taken a particular dislike for these things and have made them a priority target and have setup dedicated artillery teams to locate and destroy them. It appears they have had some success in taking out M777's using a combination of drones and MLRS strikes. From the Ukraububa POV Brigadier General Volodymyr Karpenko said one of the issues with the M777 is reliability and there's issues with maintenance and the barrel needs to swapped out after heavy use. At any one time there a half a dozen M777 being repaired either due to parts wearing out or damage from counter fire.

This is the link I found, not sure how reliable it is but there quoting directly from internal sources.

This is the problem with supplying NATO weapons to Ukraine. It's all very having the weapons, but you also need a logistics supply chain to go with them to keep them running at full speed.

How many lives wasted / changed for his fantasy though?

Is it really worth it if your concerned about shelling that never going to stop but only get worse, plus Russia will have terrorist attacks for years to come.

Along with Putin apparently ordering Shoigu to keep pressing on. I increasingly think any hopes this ends at the Donbas or necessarily even Ukraine are a fantasy.

Russia increasingly looks like they are trying to mobilise in baby steps, soft compelling industry towards the war effort, pushing people towards being drafted, etc. I see commentators online comparing what is happening now to the last gasps of the Germany army before being pushed back from Stalingrad but I'm not so sure.

It's almost like all the people with military experience who were saying this same stuff back in Feb - only to be roundly shouted down by the "you must be a Russian Shill" brigade - were correct all along, imagine my surprise

NATO equipment is only "the best" when the whole supporting chain for each weapon system is followed from start to finish i.e. from spare parts to training, from having the correct grease to having the correct ammo etc, it is a massive chain of events which all need to occur in a set sequence for the very end weapon system to be constantly effective. Without that complex logistics chain your effectiveness drops through the floor after a few weeks of use.

Russia is eking out territory right now, but the fundamental calculus is swinging against them. They have less equipment, less troops, less experienced troops, a weaker economic base, and lower morale than when they first invaded. Meanwhile, Ukraine is slowly gathering more and more higher end weaponry with which to fight them.

They are taking territory, but what are they gaining exactly? They have absolutely decimated area's due to the way they just shell everything to pieces and move in. They would bankrupt themselves as a country trying to rebuild Ukraine if they 'win'.

Very sad to see this war grind on, i did have hope that it would be somewhat cooled off by now. I will never know how Russia are still telling its people that its not a war.

a lot of Russian ammo depots going boom boom talks are that this will effect there logisitics in time.

Just how Kyiv went will the tide turn in Ukraine favour?

Not a decisive battle, month ago it was on top of news that Donbas would decide the fate of Ukraine..
