Post Your Daily Encounter Pics Here

Aye it turned up later when most had left, but safe to say it stole the show, the interior and engine bay looked like the car had never been driven, should have looked at the mileage but forgot but its either had a full restoration or been a garage queen its life as it looked brand new.
Done 13,641 miles as of its last MOT in May apparently.

That plate it must be owned by or heavily linked to TWR still. TWR (Tom Walkinshaw Racing - iirc & hopefully spelt right) were the guys that developed the car alongside Jaguar I believe.

Looks a cracking event though.
Went to Gaydon Gathering last night and pick of the lot was a 6R4 rep Metro with a Mitsubishi 3000GT twin turbo engine stuffed in the back of it. Will have to work out how to upload off my phone to share that one!

Yeah that was ace. I was there too. Weird parking layout. I have a picture of that engine so will uploads later.

Haven't seen one of those for ages, used to be everywhere. Wonder if they've all been written off :p .

July Gaydon Gathering - took Insight but just after the main carpark closed. Tried to not take uber loads of pictures so this is just the spam from the evening :D

Metro was funky as mentioned, 3000 GT Engine:
just a bit of a shame the exhaust hanger and fabrication was clearly wonky, hard piped to the engine but a large bush for the muffler and its the first thing you see after all that effort. Great thing to turn up in though.

Nice range if VW there, very tidy Mk1 Golf right along to the lady in an ID.3 plugging her car to charge in the Type 2 socket.... with a Type 2 van in shot.

Its ok I won't take it personally that you skipped by my 360 ;) :D

Parking layout as you say was very weird, didn't quite get why they were doing that - hadn't even realised the overflow was interesting cars too

Another meet another interesting engine swap, I think this one was a Supercharged Lexus V8 I heard the chap say? bet its a right laugh regardless

Nice! I kept bumping into people so didn’t take too many photos. If I had arrived later I would have been on the grass too so that was a bit of a shame. Turned out there was an awards evening for Warwickshire county council so half the carpet was reserved for that event.

Yeah MG SV (Qvale Mangusta) was smart in red, he was actually at Caffeine & Machine the week before (without the MG) and mentioned it when chatting around the Insight BEAST, so good to have a look as he said he was going Gaydon gathering. Can tell its shoe string budget, similar to that V8 MG ZT in that sense.

Anyone at Caffeine & Machine this Sunday? Heading there for the afternoon with a few mates. Remember the suncream !!!! :D

Always destined to be a failure since it had to be built in 6 different factories. Headlights from a punto and a lot of parts from a Rover 75. But the 5l v8 Roush tuned Mustang V8 engine generating 410 bhp and the carbon fibre body panels must give them lively performance.

Wasnt there only something like 8 or 9 sold before the went bust and all the other cars that exist were sold as spare part kits that owners put together themselves?

Yeah the only tuning mods was the nitrous options, but that turned out to be a load of gas and no laughing matter...

Looks like 13 total on how many left in the UK

That was the SVR, fewer of those about I’m sure.
The standard SV made little sense (especially for what they were selling them for) and wasn’t that quick. Just get an E46 M3, better in every way except maybe the V8 noise.
