The Manchester United Club Thread **Sponsored by Comedy Central**

I cant believe people are actually discussing what musk would be like

Hes trolled for years about buying sporting clubs its not what he's looking to invest in at all

Well neither did musk really he was joking just like hes joked about other clubs its almost become a meme

Shouldnt be surprised really you get excited everytime a player is linked with utd

No, he categorically did say that. Then later clarified if he was to buy a team, it would be Man Utd as he supported them.

I assumed it was a joke from the start as I know what he's like, but the fact it's made headline global news would suggest most people weren't sure.

Not sure what transfers have to do with it...?

Cristiano Ronaldo has been cautioned by police after footage emerged of the Manchester United forward appearing to smash a phone out of an Everton fan's hand at a match.

Yet another negative thing.

A spokesman for the Ineos billionaire confirmed that Ratcliffe would welcome the chance to talk to the club’s American owners. “If the club is for sale, Jim is definitely a potential buyer,” the spokesman said.

Ineos was reacting to a Bloomberg story which claims the Glazers are considering selling a minority stake in the club, with the news prompting a sharp rise in shares even as the team struggles at the bottom of the Premier League table after a disastrous start to the Erik ten Hag era.

Ratcliffe tends to seek full control of the businesses he buys, and has the means to do so, but would be willing to discuss a minority holding with the Glazers if it was part of a plan to take control at a later date.

“If something like this was possible, we would be interested in talking with a view to long-term ownership,” the spokesman added. The Glazers have come under fierce criticism from United fans, especially as the team has plunged into crisis amid chaotic player recruitment, but Ineos are willing to explore opportunities.
Somebody from the Times contacted Ineos and asked whether he'd be interested in buying Utd. I'm fairly sure during the Chelsea takeover saga he said pretty much the same thing when he was asked about Utd.

Looking awful bad/quiet on the transfer front....

If United don't get a proper recognised striker in - I think we are in big trouble. Ronaldo clearly has issues and why he's going to announce that in two weeks time, I don't know.

Rashford can't play up top himself, Martial is far to injury prone/inconsistent, we clearly can't play with a "false 9" as we don't have the players for that.

Just awful at the moment - Musk/Ratcliffe nonsense has probably been "leaked" by the Glaziers to take some heat off them for a few days.

Tragic times at the moment.... Honestly think we'll get batter by Liverpool...Like properly taken apart with pace and width - Something we are severely lacking.

I really hope Liverpool take us apart. Like embarrassingly so.

I would never wish us to lose, especially against Liverpool. But after conceding 6 already to, let's be fair, mid to lower half teams ready.

I'm not confident.

Infact I would go as far to say we have looked worse inder EtH than any of our last 4 managers.

Even if it's early still. I just don't see anything at all in how we play, our transfer targets or overall recruitment policy that gives me a shred of confidence that we will turn this around.
