Hey guys,

Having a nightmare with trying to secure a new TV/BB package as our SKY is almost up.

Long story short, I was offered £78 from BT and when discussing issues with the SKY advisor he said he couldn't match that, the best he could do it £86, so I said I would mull it over and he was going to call back, which or course, never happened.

I phoned today and they SKY advisor said they couldn't get that price, the best was £102

She then said I will be contacted in 48-72 hours after listening to calls to see that I was indeed offered that price!

Can they do that? I hope so, but I don't see how they can trace 1000s upon 1000s of calls they get everyday??

Presumably they look the call up based on your own telephone number. I'd be more surprised if a large company like Sky *wasn't* recording all their calls.

Considering they would be recording most if not all incoming calls, there is a likelihood that certain calls like those related to account enquires would have some kind of flag on the file of the recording that ties the call to that account and they would only need to search for calls related to that account to find it.

that is not call tracing, it is recording calls.
yes big companies record all phone calls (mainly to cover their backsides)

And yes they will be able to find the call and listen to it, otherwise what would be the point in recording calls ?

Going to phone up SKY tomorrow as I still haven't had the call back yet. I hope they can find it, I really do, as it was a pretty good deal the boy offered!

Well..as I expected, no call from SKY regarding this..I will leave it till the contract is up, and there see if we go down the SKY or BT route.

where is the gift card reward? can't see it on the website. £22 for fibre is pretty good value actually. hmmm..
