dog insurance getting quotes between 80 and 100 a month for a 15 week old frenchie is this the norm ?
Not sure but you have a dog breed that's prone to a lot of medical issues so you are going to get loaded for that. For comparison my Cockapoo costs £26/mnth and she's 3-1/2yrs/old now. That's good cover too. All you can do is shop around and read the small print..

Probably, given insurance is risk based and French Bulldogs, like English ones have a propensity for serious health issues. Probably cheaper to buy a spare one to keep in reserve, or as my vet says, not a breed you buy food in long term bulk for ;)

I pay £60/month with Petplan, no max claim but £7000/year with £110 excess. They're generally more expensive than others but the service has been great when I've had to claim.

Man alive.. Barkley costs about £200 a year and he had a claim last year. He's only 18 months but yeah... £60 a month!

I would, but I'm glad I don't have to.

Had a fun moment with Maddie earlier.

Put on her harness and lead. Went to get my hat and she jumped off the seatee, the lead banged on the wood floor and scared her.
She then run outside and did laps around the garden screaming blue murder because the lead was chasing her.

Just as I caught her, she decided that was the perfect time to relieve her bladder.

So shower for me, and a no-rinse dog shampoo for her.

Have they caught any yet? My standard poodle bitch gets about one rabbit a week, which helps with her food bill!
They get a rabbit sometimes between them (Hazel flushes, Copper stands 25yds away waiting to ambush) but generally a fit adult bunny can run rings around them :-) I go out at night across the fields with them wearing flashing LED collars and they spend an hour running all over the place - not catching anything but loving the chase. They caught a squizzer last year but only because it fell out of a tree right in front of Hazel. Unlucky lol!

Is a squizzer a squirrel?

The mini sausages my family had in the past would bring back lots of rabbits.

Our eldest also killed some of our hens, one of my guinea-pigs and tried to eat my hamster too! Lol!

Yes Squirrel :) Hazel had her nose bitten for her trouble here because she didn't kill it straight away.

Sure your sausages weren't part fox? My Cockapoo (Hazel) has virtually no Prey-drive and she just enjoys the chase. It's a game to her and more often than not when Hazel catches a rabbit she just lets it go again rather than kill it. Copper will kill rabbits but she's an older dog.

Eaten the hens, a Guinea pig and had a go at the hamster....? Jeez Alice <LOL> It'd have had some lead in its ear here!

Why we tried out a no-rinse shampoo, getting tired of bathing her. :p

The novelty of bathing dogs every week will soon wear off, no worries :) Ever seen a wolf giving itself a bath, with scented suds and water up to its neck? No, neither have I, and yet they don't stink...

But seriously, you run a risk of taking all the natural oils out of its coat and causing (possibly expensive) issues down the line.

True. Mine only get a bath at 6-8week intervals when they get groomed (one of the unavoidable expenses with Cockapoos). Sadly, Copper has a habit of rolling in fox poo if she gets the chance which forces an additional bath, whereas Hazel just goes for muddy ponds and avoids stinky stuff. I can usually deal with a mucky Hazel with cold water from the hose pipe which doesn't do any damage to the natural pH/oil balance of her coat, but a stinky Copper needs something more..
