To be fair, it does look that way. When he got offered AJ after 2 comeback fights, he declined. When he got offered, and accepted, the undisputed fight shenanigans went on and the fight got cancelled at the 11th hour.
It's the same as when Fury was originally supposed to fight Whyte before Whyte got obliterated by Povetkin. He made demands to the WBC for the diamond belt to be on the line. Whyte agreed, the WBC agreed and then it was radio silence from Fury.
Regardless of all that. I hope AJ does accept the fight. May be the wrong choice for his career, or the right one if he wins, it's not impossible he does as it's heavyweight boxing. Though all roads would end up leading back to Usyk and he just has Joshua's number. But as a fan of boxing, I'd love to see him take the fight. It's more winable than getting in the ring with Ustk again. This is his best chance to reclaim a belt quickly.
