This sort of sight is both awesome and tactically terrifying. Talk about confidence, bunched up like this! There's been so much good news recently, part of me is just waiting for something to go wrong.
The other big factor is that Ukranians are highly motivated to fight for their home. Most Russian soldiers probably don't want to be there.Well Ukraine has a sizable population and they've fully mobilised. The number of troops and weapons they have is only going to increase while the Russian forces in many areas have been decimated over 6 months with reports of many not even getting cycled out. I can't see how Russia responds here. Strengthen one region, you weaken another. General mobilisation will take months to see results and Ukraine will only get stronger in the meantime, nevermind the civil unrest that will cause.
Meanwhile the bulk of the Russian forces in the South are getting chipped away at, at great cost to Ukraine but they won't stop.
Hopefully the collapse in the north continues and we see a similar situation in the south very soon.
I'm not sure I believe a lot of these stories. I want to. But I'm mindful that there is value in propaganda on both sides.
