Surely by now he can fabricate an exit. Maybe even believe in what he is saying to say, 'yeah job done. Baddies all gone, people of ukraine please rejoice and come home. We'll help you rebuild too.'

I know I'm in cuckooland.

Probably emergency to mobilise more.

Thing is it's like throwing good money after bad at this point. West will keep stepping up supply, Russia will struggle to train and provide kit for more troops.

This sort of sight is both awesome and tactically terrifying. Talk about confidence, bunched up like this! There's been so much good news recently, part of me is just waiting for something to go wrong.

Yeah, that is very iffy! Even some of the stuff earlier showing advances of smaller numbers into the Kherson region was pretty dodgy, the fact that they're able to do so, in broad daylight, is perhaps reassuring that the Russians simply don't have the capability to do anything about it.

Some of the other footage has been good - IFVs quickly advancing on Russian positions (even if they're just the old Dutch ones) autocannon firing away and then Infantry jumping out of the back to mop up the rest of the enemy.

I'm pretty sure Russia doesn't have the capacity to mobilise anymore after multiple reorganisations away from that sort of doctrine. I also think it's even more awkward now after losing so many officers and having to promote ever more agreeable sycophants to lead troops.

Well Ukraine has a sizable population and they've fully mobilised. The number of troops and weapons they have is only going to increase while the Russian forces in many areas have been decimated over 6 months with reports of many not even getting cycled out. I can't see how Russia responds here. Strengthen one region, you weaken another. General mobilisation will take months to see results and Ukraine will only get stronger in the meantime, nevermind the civil unrest that will cause.
Meanwhile the bulk of the Russian forces in the South are getting chipped away at, at great cost to Ukraine but they won't stop.

Hopefully the collapse in the north continues and we see a similar situation in the south very soon.
The other big factor is that Ukranians are highly motivated to fight for their home. Most Russian soldiers probably don't want to be there.

and agree to not put missiles in Ukraine and not allow them to join NATO

Where does this notion of putting missiles in Ukraine come from? never mind Ukraine has only ever looked to NATO in response to Russian aggression - though some people get confused with the US/West overtures as to Ukraine joining NATO and somehow miss that Ukraine itself didn't take the offers up.

I'm not sure I believe a lot of these stories. I want to. But I'm mindful that there is value in propaganda on both sides.

Dunno in this case - some of it stems out of friends and family, etc. sourcing equipment online to send to soldiers rather than what kit they've been issued (which is often lacking itself) and/or irregular forces sourcing stuff themselves.
