last thing I read was Russia considers Crimea Russian land, so that’s a delicate one. I think a win for Ukraine is pre 2022 land recaptured
I don’t think they will want to stop at that. NATO would probably support pushing it back all the way. Otherwise the troubles are just going to drag on for decades. I guess this is where resolutions in other wars were found. Push into Crimea and other territories to bring Russia to the negotiating table and then end the war with the pre 2022 border and a UN peace force. I’m drawing comparisons with the Korean War and the 38th parallel from WW2 (the split between where the Japanese surrendered to the USSR and the US). During the Korean war the US and South Korea pushed all the way up to the China/Russia border which then forced them to surrender and negotiate a split of the country at the original WW2 parallel.

If Russia loses all the other territory and Crimea is invaded, they'll have nothing left to defend it with anyway. Russia can't be trusted when it comes to agreement either, like a certain other leader. They'd look for the easiest excuse to break it.

I'd push for return of Crimea were I Ukraine.

I'd probably agree best not to fully invade Russia proper, but force a peace with them for return of full pre-2014 sovereignty.

Russia is unlikely to send Nukes over Crimea.

I understand what your saying and agree
BTW that’s not how it happened in the Korean War, China entered the war when the UN forces were almost at the Chinese boarder and pushed the UN all the way back to and past Seoul and Chinese and North Korean retook Seoul, which was inturn took back by UN forces. The fighting then stayed in and around the 38th parallel until the truce(NKorea never Surrendered) was signed a year or so later.

Telegramers already calling for it lmao - Romanov made a post saying Russia needs to nuke Kyiv right now or Luhansk will be lost

Sad people wishing to nuke millions of civilians rather than losing.

It's not like there is no way back for Russia here.

Change of leadership, pay (significant) damages, walk away and eventually even the sanctions would disappear if they behave.

For the Korean War the northern forces pushed down to Busan and almost took the country. The US with the south countered that and pushed it back up with a landing at Incheon to cut off the northern forces in the south. Then the southern forces pushed all the way up to the China border. You are right they did then push that back down to just below the 38th parallel but then the south started to push back up and that’s when it ended. We know it’s a truce but that was the only way it was going to end. I don’t think China would have wanted it to go back up to their border again.

Pushing into Crimea should trigger a similar result. It will raise a lot more questions in Russia about Putin at the very least.

Without a doubt, I think Ukrainian forces will push into Crimea but I think this ends with Crimea in Russian hands but the rest of the country in the same position as before feb2022

Why would it end with Crimea in Russian hands?

They illegally annexed it, by the looks of things, Ukraine could actually not only win this but push into Russia proper if they really wanted to.

As Ukraine, nothing less than total return of Crimea, and the removal of Luhansk and Donetsk separatists completely.

Civvies can go back to Russia if they want to live there.

They did and there is no doubt that it should be in Ukrainian control and part of Ukraine. But,
My next statement is what I believe will be argued by Russia at peace talks but is in no way what I think should happen(I don’t want anyone to think I’m coming down on the Russian side) When peace talks start Russia will argue that they annexed the Crimea it in 2014 at its request and Ukraine did nothing(yes I know it’s ********), they then held a referendum(rigged) and the population voted to join Russia(********) and Ukraine did nothing. I believe pressure will be put on Ukraine from the EU if Russia is at the table and offering to pull out to pre feb2022 borders but keep Crimea.

They can argue they annexed and held illegal referendums all they want, but I don't believe Ukraine has ever officially given it away.

They might have had a chance to officially annex it at the start of this conflict by talking/diplomacy instead of invading, perhaps control of Crimea could have been ceded for more concrete assurances and Ukraine joining a defensive pact such as NATO or even the EU.
