Hi all

long story short, i have 3x 2L of some Castrol Engine oil, that is still sealed in their containers
the date on them are all 2017 , so I'm assuming its the expiry date

question is, can i still use these or not now?

Depends what you're putting it in really. The oil won't go off, but the additives can break down, separate, and basically not work as they should.

Give it a good shake and it will be fine. The antifoam sometimes can settle after such long periods but the date will be manufactured or filling date.
I mean, the stuff has been in the ground for millions of years, I'm sure a few more won't matter :D
Engine oil comes out of the ground ? And plastic spoons too?

Correct. Also cupholders, and oddly enough, so do Big Macs. McDonalds has a Big Mac quarry up in Yorkshire.
