Choosing an electric blanket. Any recommendations?

I'm after a king size electric underblanket with dual controls. Willing to spend up to £130. Maybe more if anyone can convince me it's worth the extra.

My main concern is the big lumpy connector part. Previous electric blankets I've used have only used single control and always had a bulky connector where the cord with the control enters the blanket. These connectors, I have found to be uncomfortable. In fact, just plain annoying. A bit like sleeping with a huge walnut under my shoulder. I imagine a dual control will have two of these annoying lumps. One for each control. Therefore limiting the useable, comfortable width of the king size bed.

I also want to ensure this new blanket will keep my toes warm. I'm just under 6'. My previous experience is that cheaper blankets are undersized, lengthwise, for my needs. So feet don't get warmed.
Under pillow heat would be nice as well. I tend to have an arm tucked up under the pillow. Arm doesn't get warmed. I'd prefer the pillow area to be warm too.

A standard king size bed like mine is 150cm by 200cm. It'd be nice to have that whole area heated.
Perhaps maybe I'd be as well going for a superking size blanket and fitiing that to a king size bed?

Any suggestions, please?

Now this is an interesting thread which I’m instantly going to hijack slightly.

Is there such a thing as an electric foot warmer? Effectively an electric blanket that goes the width of the bed but is only narrow so it can be put at the bottom of the bed to keep one’s tootsies warm.

I call those a well trained dog :)

Get a single one and put it sideways across the bottom of the bed? Or some of the more expensive ones have 4 separately adjusteable zones (top and bottom of each side)

I'd prefer the pillow area to be warm too.

Wtf is wrong with you?

An ice cold pillow is better than sex

I only just bought one of these and the control already broken :( so i wouldn't recommend this one
You set the timer for say 3 hours and it still hot 20 hours later

yep wool socks are the only essential night ware, especially if the duvet gets stolen.

on top ? could suggest a more lofty (real bird) high tog duvet - they get toasty quickly;
can get a brushed cotton fitted sheet to go beneath bed sheet to take the chill off.

Does nobody use hot water bottles anymore. Just refilled one, it was still hot-ish from 24hr ago. Wrap in a towel, ideal toasty toes
I use one and it stays warm for about 6 hours in the winter maybe less, you only really need the initial 30mins or a nice warm bed to enter anyway.

your body will adapt to the temperature after the initial cold feeling even if you don't use one.

Personally, I'd never use an electric blanket, they've been known as a fire risk for too many years and my mind won't shake that even if they are supposed to be safe now.

I really like a cold pillow so my other half bought me a Moona for my birthday a couple of years back. It does a great job of keeping the pillow nice and cold.

I have a SImba hybrid pillow and it's the coolest one I've had. If I do a pillow flip it can feel like it's been in the fridge.
