So just flicking channels after a run tonight and this has just started. Had me gripped. Seems kind of Bodyguard esque.

Anyone else watch? Could be entertaining but hard to imagine another 5 episodes.

watched it and thought just another BBC #metoo meme with over-powered hard-nosed women cop, fighting the glass ceiling,
interspersed with Hi-tech unrealistic face recognition gadgetry, wall to wall tv screens ... spooks was far better/believable...

plot mechanism at the start for re-trial was weak/barely credible.

Me and the missus really enjoyed it. Unless the end bit was him imagining doesn't leave much of a surprise although will definitely be watching the next one.

Watched first episode last night was pleasantly surprised by how many 'famous' actors they've casted in this. Slow burn that's looking to shape up into something really good.

Not sure what direction this is going from the second ep, could get vastly more farcical than it already is. Will keep watching though.

... continuing - the triumph of hope over experience ... or, the shredded wheat advert nailed it I bet you can't watcheat three.

should start a new thread on series I gave up or never started ... Bodyguard, GOT, Carnival Row, Euphoria, Doctor Foster, Killing Eve ... how many series get better as they progress

Season 2 3 episodes in and it feels just as gripping as season 1. Superb stuff.

All of those shows^ are excellent.

I must admit the first series eneded up getting a bit silly and far fetched but still enjoying it. Second series has me more gripped than the first.

I thought it started off well then went down a big conspiracy rabbit hole and ended up being a bit too much.

Will start the second season once it finishes ( I like to binge a few episodes at a time)

Agree with that, i did enjoy the first one but as you said a bit silly. This one hasn't gone down that path just yet.

S2 was good felt like it was really starting to lose it's way in episode 5 but pulled it back for the final episode.

Yeah very good ending. But, how was the script swapped?

Edit
She pressed the blokes finger to authorise but didn't show anything else.

Agreed. Season 2 was on the money. It needed S1 to set the tone. Unfortunately I think some will watch season 1 and then not bother with two.

The last episode of season 2 did all seem to move exceptionally quickly. Either I missed how one or two things happened (since someone was trying to message me at the time) or it just didn't show/glossed over them somewhat.

Average at best, full of plot holes, no one can film anything on a mobile phone.

Black guy has to work twice as hard as a white man BS line as well... trust the BBC to push that one....

See so many people from poor white backgrounds on the BBC like? see them doing so well in life? getting a free pass? no we don't.... it's the opposite
but apparently white privilidge exists for all whites, even those who arent inside the middle class BBC nepotism bubble

Wasn't that just his excuse for boning someone at his mother's funeral?
